BACKGROUND
Partnering with The Windmill Factory and Dirt Empire, we created a data visualization overload with massive stylized digital avatars synced to a “real” UFC fight in front of a crowd of 15,000 people during a live keynote at Amazon's AWS conference. This work was broadcasted live over the internet and at the event on a 140-foot 12,000 x 2000 LED wall at the MGM Grand Arena.
We travelled to each fighter's training location to capture them using Depthkit. After we obtained these volumetric assets, Dirt Empire returned back to their studio to add layers of VFX to the scans resulting in beautiful avatars for the presentation.
