THE CHALLENGE & MY ROLE
3 CREWS | 1 FRANCHISE | 5 PROMOS | 1 SHOOT DAY

During the production of the Kim Possible Original Movie, Territory Studio was approached to provide assistance in creating a package of teasers and other content for the movie. Territory Studio, based in London, brought me on as the VFX Supervisor for the entire duration of the project. This meant that I was going to be in charge during the entire life cycle of this project, beginning to end, managing the needs of Disney, the local Vancouver production crew, and Territory themselves, who would need correctly produced assets to bring together the final product.

I would say my role was most important in pre-production and production on this project. Since my team would be putting together the final product, it was my job to translate Disney’s creative needs into actionable items and production techniques that the local crew would need to help us capture. Due to the high level of visual effects in this project, there were many intricate specifics that would need to be prepared for before we went to set. Because the actors were all also in the middle of shooting the movie, it was important to be manage our time correctly. On set, I had to ensure that all the assets we were capturing were at the utmost high quality, and also make sure nothing was delivered with potential errors. This also meant I was collaborating with the Disney teams and the production team, to make sure we were capturing everything they needed, and doing it correctly, as the shoot was very VFX heavy.
